NAME / ORIGIN
“Taizo” combines “Tai” (泰), from the name of our founder Taisuke Akita, with “Zo” (蔵), inspired by the Japanese sake brewery (sakagura).
“Tai” (泰) carries the meaning of calm and stability.
It reflects our wish to remain steady, engage with sincerity, and be a presence people can trust.
“Zo” (蔵) reflects the image of a sake brewery — carefully protecting, nurturing, and aging something over time.
Not just making things, but engaging with each one carefully and growing something of real value.
We've put that spirit into the name “Taizo,” and it's how we want to keep making things.
