Privacy Policy

Sales Guard (the “App”) is a Shopify app that provides features such as sales period control, launch notifications, restock notifications, and notification data management.
Data We Collect
The App may collect and use the following data to provide its features:
- Product information, including product names, product IDs, variant IDs, SKUs, prices, and inventory status
- Product management information, including product tags, collections, and product types
- App configuration information, including sales period settings, sale price settings, and notification settings
- Email addresses registered for launch notifications or restock notifications
- Notification registration dates, delivery status, and information about the relevant products and variants
- Email templates, sender email addresses, and notification delivery settings
- Connection information for external email delivery services optionally configured by users, such as SendGrid API keys, SMTP hosts, SMTP users, and SMTP passwords
Purpose of Use
Collected data is used for the following purposes:
- To control purchases outside configured sales periods
- To synchronize product and variant states according to sales start and end times
- To send launch notifications and restock notifications
- To display notification registration counts and delivery status
- To automatically apply and restore sale prices and sales periods
- To save app settings, maintain the App, investigate issues, and improve features
- To respond to user inquiries
Personal Information
The App collects and stores customer email addresses when customers register for launch notifications or restock notifications.
Collected email addresses are used only for sending the notifications that customers registered for.
The App is not intended to collect or store customer names, addresses, phone numbers, payment information, or similar personal information.
Transmission to External Services
The App may use the following external email delivery services or a user-configured SMTP server to send notification emails:
- Resend
- SendGrid
- A user-configured SMTP server
When sending notifications, information required for email delivery, such as email addresses, product names, product URLs, and notification body text, may be sent to external email delivery services.
External email delivery services may store delivery logs, error logs, open status, delivery status, and similar information. The handling of such information is governed by each external service’s privacy policy and terms of service.
Handling of Credentials
If a user configures a SendGrid API key or SMTP password, the App stores these credentials in encrypted form.
Stored API keys and passwords are used only to send notification emails and are not displayed again in the admin interface.
Third-Party Disclosure
Except as required by law, the App does not sell or disclose collected data to third parties without the user’s consent.
However, information may be sent to external email delivery services to the extent necessary to provide App features such as notification email delivery.
Data Retention
The App stores collected data for as long as necessary to provide its features.
If a user uninstalls the App, stored data will be deleted or disabled except where retention is required for legal or operational reasons.
